SecretRanker AI SEO gets your WordPress site ready to be found and cited by AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude:
- Serves an automatic llms.txt at yoursite.com/llms.txt, generated from your own pages and recent posts, so AI engines know what to reference.
- Lets the major AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot, CCBot) crawl your site by adding them to robots.txt.
- Adds LocalBusiness structured data (schema) on your homepage.
- Tracks how many times the AI crawlers actually visit your site each month, right in the dashboard.
An “AI SEO” dashboard in wp-admin lets you turn each feature on or off, see your AI-readiness and AI-visit counts, open your llms.txt, and rebuild it on demand.
Optionally, connect the plugin to the SecretRanker platform to manage this site’s AI-SEO from your SecretRanker dashboard and receive new features automatically. This is entirely optional; every feature above works without connecting.
External services
This plugin can optionally connect to the SecretRanker platform (https://secretranker.com), a managed AI-SEO service. This connection only happens if you choose to connect by entering a connection key on the plugin’s settings page.
When you connect, the plugin sends your site URL, site name, and a randomly generated access token to https://secretranker.com/api/plugin/register so the site can be linked to your SecretRanker account. After connecting, SecretRanker may read this site’s AI-SEO status (feature toggles, page/post counts, and AI-crawler visit counts) and, at your request from the dashboard, run actions such as rebuilding the llms.txt or changing the feature toggles. No content of your visitors is sent.
If you never enter a connection key, the plugin does not contact any external service.

Installation
- Install and activate the plugin.
- That’s it. Visit yoursite.com/llms.txt to see it working. Open the “AI SEO” menu in wp-admin for settings and status.

Do I need to configure anything?

No. The plugin works automatically using your site name, description, pages, and posts.

Do I have to connect to SecretRanker?

No. Connecting is optional and only enables managed features. Everything else works without an account.

Where is the llms.txt?

At yoursite.com/llms.txt. It is generated on the fly and cached for a day.

Does it change my robots.txt file?

It adds AI crawler rules to the WordPress virtual robots.txt. If you have a physical robots.txt file, add the rules manually.
