Asklivio – Livio Chat Assistant

Description

Your practice chat assistant. Simply smart.

Livio helps patients find opening hours, directions and the practice’s existing
contact and appointment-booking options through guided conversations. This
plugin connects the hosted Livio Chat Assistant to your existing WordPress website.

Add your public Chat Assistant ID under Settings Asklivio. Livio is then embedded
on your public website. Manage conversations, appearance and publishing in the
Livio Portal. The settings page uses Asklivio’s logo, Petrol/Mint palette and Outfit
font. All design assets are bundled locally and only loaded on this settings page.

You need an Asklivio account, a published Chat Assistant and an approved website
domain. The plugin uses the existing, centrally hosted Livio Chat Assistant.

Leave the ID empty to turn off embedding. Deactivating the plugin also stops
embedding and keeps your setting. Deleting the plugin removes the saved ID for
the current website. “Embedding enabled” confirms the local connection setting;
it does not verify publishing status or domain approval.

External service

This plugin connects your website to Asklivio.
Only after saving a valid ID will visitors’ browsers load
https://widget.asklivio.de/loader.v1.js. The loader fetches its styles from
widget.asklivio.de and loads the hosted chat interface when opened. The Chat
Assistant uses https://api.asklivio.de/api/v1 for published configuration and
dialogue sessions. These requests include standard connection information, the
public Chat Assistant ID, website origin, language and technical dialogue events.
Only the Chat Assistant manages its technical session tokens.

WordPress stores only the public Chat Assistant ID. The plugin stores no chats or
patient data and sends no data to Asklivio from the WordPress administration area.
Its Portal link opens https://portal.asklivio.de/ in a new tab. No API keys or
Portal credentials are needed in the plugin. The admin font and logo are local.

Installation

  1. In WordPress, open Plugins Add Plugin and search for Asklivio, or use Upload Plugin to select the ZIP file.
  2. Install and activate the plugin.
  3. Open Settings Asklivio.
  4. Paste your public Chat Assistant ID from the Livio Portal and save.
  5. Check your published Chat Assistant on your website. Its exact website origin must be approved; https://example.com and https://www.example.com are different.

Remove any previous manually installed Livio embed so only one installation method is active. Clear your page cache after changing the connection.

FAQ

Where do I manage my Livio Chat Assistant?

Use “Open Livio Portal”. Conversations, appearance and settings stay in the Portal.

Do I need to paste script code or an API key?

No. Your public Chat Assistant ID is enough. This ID is not a secret.

How do I turn off embedding?

Clear the ID field and save, or deactivate the plugin. Clear your page cache too.

Why does Livio not appear, or show an error?

Check the ID, published version and website domain approval. Your website must
use HTTPS, and your theme must output the normal WordPress footer. Script
optimisation must not combine the Livio loader with other scripts or remove its
data attributes. If your website uses a Content Security Policy, widget.asklivio.de
must be allowed for scripts, styles and frames.
