Description
LangSpector is a read-only quality audit tool for WordPress sites using Polylang. It scans all eligible content and reports core multilingual issues without editing your site.
LangSpector Free checks
- Invalid or inconsistent Polylang translation relations. Intentionally untranslated content is not treated as an error.
- Internal links that point to another language when an equivalent translation exists in the current language.
- Suggested URL for the matching translated destination.
- Multilingual health score based on active findings.
- Report filters by severity, finding type, language and status.
- Persistent Ignore / Reactivate controls for findings you have reviewed.
The Free edition scans all eligible content. It has no scan quota, report limit, trial period or time restriction.
Read-only and local
LangSpector does not update posts, pages or Polylang relationships. Scanning is performed locally on the WordPress installation, and audited site content is not sent to an external service.
LangSpector Pro
LangSpector Pro is a separate add-on hosted outside WordPress.org. It adds checks for multilingual taxonomies, classic navigation menus, mixed-language passages, explicit Yoast SEO / Rank Math metadata and multilingual image ALT consistency. Pro code is not included in this plugin.
Languages
The interface is translation-ready using the WordPress gettext system. This release also bundles French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese admin translations. Additional community translations can be provided through WordPress.org language packs.

Installation
- Install and activate Polylang.
- Install and activate LangSpector.
- Open LangSpector > Dashboard.
- Click “Start scan”.
- Review findings under LangSpector > Report.

Does LangSpector Free scan the whole site?

What does the separate Pro add-on add?

Pro adds taxonomy, classic-menu, mixed-language passage, SEO metadata and multilingual image ALT checks. The Pro code is not included in the WordPress.org plugin.
